Winter in the Sandhills

I took a drive to the sandhills north of Webb, SK for a day of photographing some deer. Being the last day of hunting season here, there were a few vehicles driving around so the deer were not very cooperative, but i was able to snag a few decent pictures.

This doe didn't mind me driving by about 10 yards away and posed for a few shots:


A sleeping buck and a 3 legged doe, an interesting combination:


This buck was in full rut mode and was only interested in the does, taking only a few moments to glance my way:
